Massive Mass Outbreak Catch and Multi-Despawn Permutations Tool

NOTE: This page will be permanently moved to RotomLabs on August 21, 2024. To avoid losing work, please start using the new site!

Take me to RotomLabs Now!

This tool was built with the purpose of keeping track of all possible permutations of catching and multi-despawning Pokémon in the Massive Mass Outbreaks to generate multiple fresh spawns for second waves that are either rare, evolved forms, or Alpha forms.

The tool also has an Advanced Mode. This expands the table significantly by taking advantage of ghost spawns (see this page for more information on ghost spawns). It is not recommended to hunt this way, but it is possible.

For each row, the white "C" indicates that the Pokémon should be caught one at a time. The "KO" with a color indicates that the number of columns of that color should be "multi-despawned" (enter a battle with that many or more, KO or capture them before running away or finishing the battle). Follow the instructions in order of the columns. Also make sure you note how many spawns are in the first wave of the outbreak and select the proper value. If you have "Advanced Mode" enabled, the gray "L" column indicates "leave the area".

So, if a row shows blue "KO KO", "C", green "KO KO", and then 4 "C"'s, that means to "multi-despawn" two, catch one, "multi-despawn" two more, then catch the rest in order. To summarize, the color indicates how many to KO in a single battle. If the table is confusing, you can also get the actions described in words by checking the option under the table, though we believe the default view helps visualize the actions better.

For a more in-depth guide on how to hunt these types of outbreaks and a lot of the mechanics, check out our Massive Mass Outbreak guide.

Disclaimer: following all possible permutations does not guarantee a shiny in the second wave. This method only extends the number of spawns in a single outbreak for more chances at your target.

Hunting Pokémon that can't be multibattled? Check out the "View Ghost Spawn Permutations (ADVANCED METHOD)" option and iterate that table as well as the second wave permutations.

NEW UPDATE: The tool will now save your progress when you reload the page! Use the "Reset Table" option to clear entries!
