Thanks to Anubis on Twitter, we know exactly what the shiny rates are for various circumstances in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This game is extremely generous with shiny rates, and offers the highest in the series.
As per usual, the base shiny rate is 1/4096, which has been the norm since Generation 6 (the X and Y games. However, you can increase your chances by completing various Pokédex tasks throughout the game.
Reaching a level 10 research for a Pokémon grants an additional shiny roll for that species. The Dex says “Complete!” if you are at this level.
Reaching a perfect research level for a Pokémon grants three additional shiny rolls for that species. The Dex says “Perfect!” if you are at this level.
Obtaining the shiny charm (acquired after getting level 10 on all but the legendary and mythical Pokémon) grants an additional three shiny rolls for all species.
Massive Mass Outbreaks give an additional 12 shiny rolls for the individual Pokémon that are part of the outbreak “waves.”
Mass Outbreaks give an additional 25 rolls for the individual Pokémon that are part of the outbreak “waves.”
Combining those together gives the various values in the table above.
